The Concept

Rather than hosting a traditional charity event, MedWish International choose to empower its supporters to assist with 2009 fundraising efforts. By participating in Summer of 1,000 Dinners as a dinner host, you agree to coordinate an event that raises funds for MedWish International. Whether you charge your guests a flat fee to attend or simply ask for donations at the event, know that every dollar raised goes to support thousands of men, women and children around the world who lack access to basic healthcare and supplies.

MedWish International is here to help our dinner hosts every step of the way. You will have access to MedWish International promotional and educational materials, including printed pieces and our new MedWish International: Making a World of Difference DVD. MedWish International can also assist with event promotion and provide fundraising ideas. Register here and receive your Dinner Host Planning Kit which will help you begin planning your event.

When collecting donations from your guests, please download and use the Guest Donation Forms (1 and 2) and send the completed forms to MedWish. It is important that MedWish receives all of the donors’ information in order to provide each guest with a tax receipt. You can even download a Summer of 1,000 Dinners Invitation template to send to your guests.
